This is a view of the back yard from our (tiny) porch. One thing that many people don't realize about San Francisco is that many blocks have large areas with yards in the back that you can't see from the street because the houses are packed so close together. Until we lived here, I never would have guessed how large the open spaces in the interior of the blocks are.
