A complete overhaul with a two year labor warranty is $200.00
for any plug in electric clock that only tells the time (no strikes or
chimes). For electric clocks that also strike the hour, I charge
$250.00 and $350.00 for chiming electric clocks. I do not work on
battery driven clocks.
The above charges will include any internal part with the
exception of the motor, rotor, or coil. Parts either purchased or
made by another will be an additional charge. My charge for shipping
and handling is $30.00 unless the clock is over 12" long, then
shipping will increase and I'll not know that until I determine what
size box to use as the second shipping box. Included at that price
is from $200 to $1,000 of UPS insurance depending on the age of the
piece. All other parts will be extra.
Most rebuilt original motors and rotors sell for between
$100.00 and $200.00. Original coils usually run about $100.00.

There's never any hidden extras to the prices quoted above.
Once testing starts it is performed in two parts. The first
test is the function test to ascertain whether or not my overhaul
was satisfactory. Then the second test is the timing test which
takes about a week and during this test period I use either the U.S.
Postal Service to mail you a copy of the invoice or bill via E-mail
and I expect payment in the form mentioned below. I shipped when both
the payment and the testing period have been satisfied. Normally
shipping takes place one week or so after I receive payment.
I ONLY accept money orders, certified checks, or
company checks for payment, but repeat customers may use
personal checks.
Please be sure to double box the clock and insure it for at
least $200. By double box I mean to pack the 1st and 2nd boxes
as if you were going to ship each independent from the other one.
Also, to reduce your shipping costs ship via UPS be sure that the
2nd box measures 16" x 16" x 16" or less.
My turnaround is usually 6 to 10 weeks. Please remove
and include the pendulum if the clock has one, most electrics do
not have a pendulum so do don't knock yourself out trying to find one.
Old parts are returned by request only.

If you decide not to go ahead with the repair, then I return
the clock via UPS and COD. The charge will be $50.00 labor, plus
the COD charge ($5.00), plus my standard shipping and the
insurance charges ($30.00). This total works out to be $85.00
for a clock returned unrepaired after my estimate. The COD is
dropped if you are a previous customer of mine.
I do not do any work, repair, or refinishing on the case.
