Sunday Services

  • Sunday Services start at 10:30.
  • Parents are invited to bring their children into the Sanctuary for the beginning of the Sunday Morning Service that we all share. After the opening time and time with the children the children may attend  our Religious Education Classes.
  • Our minister, Rev. Robert McDill, leads services twice a month. All other services are lay led.

Have We Really?
Rev. Bob McDill
.

Universalism has always emphasized a message of hope. We have been benevolent, merciful, forgiving, charitable, tolerant, compassionate, and ever hopeful. Or have we?

Who Taught Us?
Sally Carroll and Garry Klepser
.

Unitarian Universalist women have often been heroic leaders for change--anti-slavery, universal suffrage, humane nursing, feminist empowerment, and peace. This year we will honor our mothers and foremothers with a longtime UU tradition. Please bring a blossom to share in our Flower Communion.

Blessing the Animals
Religious Education Program
.

Bring your pets to a participatory service to celebrate our connection with our animal companions led by our congregation's youth. Bring a hat and dress for the weather as the service will be held on the patio behind the sanctuary. A special offering will also be taken this day for the East Valley Animal Shelter.

I Need Gas
Rev. Bob McDill
.

When you are in the desert of life, out of gas, and the price to keep going is very high - what can you do? It may be time for you to stay put, to honor this important time, and be ok with it. Plants often need a time of rest in order to bloom again. You need not fear this time as unproductive, but accept it as Holy space needed for whatever lies ahead.

Positive Elements
.
Ozzie Lastre, Moderator

Rise and shine and join in the SOULFUL SUNDAY CELEBRATION of "Positive Elements" presented by the Hazze Hip-Hop Culture Dream Center. The Hip-Hop Center envisions creating a "Youth Culture Performing Arts Center" with a traveling hip-hop and creative dance troupe while establishing a safe haven for at-risk youth and providing a positive alternative to gangs, drugs, poverty, violence and boredom. The Soulful Sunday Band will also share their incredible talent with us.
