WebCommerce -- CyberCash Admin

WebCom (your web host) and CyberCash (your credit card processor) are seperate organizations. Because of this there is a division between the services WebCom provides through WebCommerce, and the services that CyberCash provides. WebCom's WebCommerce creates the store and handles everything except actually processing credit card charges CyberCash only handles the processing of credit cards online.

Because CyberCash's services are seperate from WebCom's services, you will need to access CyberCash's system to maintain your CyberCash account and process credit card charges. If you have problems using CyberCash's services, you will need to contact CyberCash directly by visiting their Merchant Support Area, or sending email to merchant-support@cybercash.com.

CyberCash Control Panel

The CyberCash control panel is CyberCash's user interface, where you can configure your account, manage how CyberCash processes your charges, begin and complete your registration process, and follow links to other helpful CyberCash pages.

If you've registered with CyberCash, then you've already been to the CyberCash Control Panel. (Remember -- you have to register with CyberCash separately if you plan to use CyberCash to accept credit card payments. Click Here for details).

Once you've registered, you can log in to the CyberCash Control Panel as an existing merchant to check the status of your registration and link to other CyberCash applications. If you have more than one account, you will be asked to select the one you want to use before entering the Control Panel. If you need help with the CyberCash registration process, or help using the Control Panel, you'll need to contact CyberCash directly at merchant-support@cybercash.com.

You can access the Merchant Administration Server (the most important part of the CyberCash system!) after your CyberCash registration is complete. This is where you can process credit card charges, void charges, return charges, and view charges from customer orders. To access this information, you'll need your CyberCash username and password. (If you ever forget your username and password, you can find it by visiting the CyberCash Control Panel.)

Although the Merchant Administration Server is fairly straightforward, there is very little documentation or explanation found on the web site. If you have been processing credit card charges for a while, the CyberCash Merchant Administration Server may be second nature to you. CyberCash's documentation is very general, and much of the information may not apply to you as you are using a "MDP" (Merchant Development Partner- i.e. WebCom), but you should be able to navigate the site, even if you are new to credit card capture, with this information.
