Below is an alphabetical list of Forms Processor Parameters. Unless otherwise
noted, the following parameters can be set in either the configuration
file for your fill-out form or in the form itself as a hidden field. Most
have default values, so you only need to set them if you want to override
the defaults. Those without a defaults are optional.
- chmod
- sets the permissions mask for the file containing the form data (use
with the file parmeter).
- delete
- automatically deletes all instances of unwanted characters, such as
line feeds, from the user's input on the form (used only within form configuration
files)
- e_delimiter
- overrides the default value delimiter in the email message sent to
you each time the form is submitted
- e_field_separator
- overrides the default value between each field in the email message
sent to you each time the form is submitted
- e_names
- specifies whether the field names are shown along with the values in
the email message
- email
- sets the email address(es) to which the form data is sent addresses,
list them all separated by commas) - default (if you have no configuration
file) is userid@webcom.com; if you have a configuration file
for your form, there is no default for this parameter; you must explictly
set this parameter to the email address (if any) to which you'd like the
data mailed.
- email_subject
- sets the subject of the email message
- escape
- used to specify characters to be escaped in the user's input (used
only within form configuration files)
- escape_char
- specifies the escape character
- f_delimiter
- overrides the default value delimiter in the file containing the form's
data (used with the file parmeter)
- f_field_separator
- overrides the default field separator in the data file specified in
the file parameter
- f_form_separator
- overrides the default separator between each form's data in the data
file specified in the file parameter
- f_names
- specifies whether the field names are shown along with the values in
the file specified using the file parameter
- file
- specifies the name of a file to write (append) the form's data to each
time it's submitted (used only within form configuration files)
- replace
- automatically replaces all instances of a given character in the user's
input to another value, for instance changing < to <
(used only within form configuration files)
- screen
- specifies the web page to be displayed to the user after the form has
been processed (used only within form configuration files)
