From a courteous poster on rec.guns

Thanks for your inquiry.

Sorry to say that Fajen has recently closed down its production plant in Lincoln, Mo, and Fajen stocks are now offered only through distributors. We felt we could best serve our customers if we concentrated on the design and marketing aspects of gunstock making, leaving production and dealer/retail sales to those Companies that excel in these areas.

Catalog requests are not being accepted at this time and the "bargain" stocks are being sold a one lot. At this time, there is no phone staff, and e-mail is the only way to communicate with Fajen.

At this time we are working with several different Companies in the U.S. to produce Fajen designed stocks, using the Fajen CNC programs. We are also working to build our distribution system. Our goal is to make the famous Fajen stock styles an even better value than they are today.

We expect some delays in deliveries of Drop-In stocks during this transition, however you can still purchase stocks from the following sources:

Retail Dealers

Cabelas Ellett Brothers
McBrides (Austin, TX) Hill Country Wholesale
MidwayUSA

The Fajen Custom Shop is not in operation at this time. We will keep you advised of progress in this area via the Fajen website.

Please understand that the Fajen and Bishop brands are not going to disappear. Both are registered trademarks. Regularly things happen in business that create a need for "restructuring" such as this.

Sincerely,
Larry W. Potterfield
CEO
