The Pharmacy Program is designed to input and store patient prescription and payment information and to pass jobs on to a Job Control Program which will print prescription labels, electronically bill insurance companies, count pills, and report to a cash register system and through the cash register to a general accounting system. The Pharmacy program also is designed to create relevant reports including: 1. Unpaid Transactions 2. Patient Profiles 3. Daily Logs 4. Top 15 Lists 5. Financial Summaries 6. Drug Reports including reports on scheduled drugs and drug lists. 7. Customer Lists The program also has facilities to set drug price structures, update prices, rebill for unpaid prescriptions, and transfer prescriptions. Besides filling prescriptions, reports and utilities the main menu also has options to review the history of a prescription and, if necessary, transfer it to another pharmacy and to start the pill counter, if installed. NOTE: In this system it is necessary to delete a transaction if the medicine was never actually dispensed and to Void a prescription if it is inadvertedly entered into the system twice. Most other errors can be corrected by editing the prescription.
